Intermediate Ultrasound

Core Objective: At the end of the program, students should be able to understand I-AIM for these core Ultrasound scans: ​Aorta/IVC, Hepatobilliary, and GU/OBGYN. They should also be able to describe advanced physics topics in ultrasound.  

Duration: August 2017 - May 2018. 1 orientation session, 3 scanning sessions, 1 optional open scan.

Requirements:

• Complete a pre-test

• Attend orientation/physics lecture

• Attend 3 scanning sessions.

• Participate in 15 hrs of ultrasound activities outside of those in IUS curriculum.

Evaluation of competency: Final exam score of >70%.
